Well, I'm not really an accomplished photographer or anything. The most I know about taking pictures is the pointing and the clicking. Regardless of my lack of skill, I like taking pictures of moments and friends on my Lomo Fisheye, Instax Cheki, and Kodak black-and-white disposable. These are amongst my favorites. On our way towards the highest peaks on Oahu's majestic Ko'olau range: Konahuanui Bread mask picture taken at a camping ground on the west side of Oahu's north shore Fisheye taken at the same camping ground a year prior Taken en route towards Maunawili waterfall (the waterfall in Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" music video) On our way back to civilization from daring jumps from the waterfall From Challenge, California's beautiful Camp Woodleaf Ending a beach session at Waikiki beach Ambushing my friend with a fisheye closeup before playing hide-and-seek at the local Wal-Mart This is a cool project you have going on bro. I look forward to participating

Dan!
For a guy who claims he doesnt know what hes doing your photos are amazing and I love capturing moments, I think thats one of the greatest things about photography.
And you've caught some amazing moments
Taken en route towards Maunawili waterfall is by far my fave.

Phil, Dan, Kaity! Those are great! Do you live in Hawaii, Dan? Jealous... I really like the blue guy, Kaity. I take pictures too, although I'm not cool enough to use film. I'm not really a photographer, I just take pictures of things I think are pretty. Here are some I took: (I had up the ones of that girl, but they were big and annoying... so I took screnshots of my tumblr.) For pictures I usually just use a little point-and shoot or the camera function on my video camera.

Hey Emily!
Welcome to the club house, it looks like your codes arent working properly, I cant figure out why (sorry I snuck in and tried to edit your post, your links seem to work they take a while to redirect which might be the problem) their not working.
I do love the shots though you took, nice use of the close up.

Dan and Emily - nice shots!
My favorite of Dan's photos is the very first one, "On our way towards the highest peaks on Oahu's majestic Ko'olau range: Konahuanui" and Emily, I really enjoy the photo of the girl running through the field.
The blue guy is from the Avalon String Band in Philadelphia, PA. I guess you could call him the ring leader/drum major. There is a tradition of different clubs [string bands] gathering and through Philadelphia on New Year's Day. They all dress in crazy, sparkly and feather covered costumes, too. The Avalon String band travels up to Binghamton, NY every year for our St. Patrick's Day parade. Those guys know how to party.

Emily! I love your photos, cant believe they came form a little point and click, you have a lot of talent.
As for using film, once you know the basics its relatively easy and you can get cameras relatively cheaply that are about the same level as a $1000 digital.
I have a film camera with 4 lenses that would be worth over $3000 if it were digital but because its film I got it for a little more than $200. that and people just give me stuff every now and again.
you'll probably find that you have relatives that had cameras that have never got around to throwing them away and there just stitting in an attic/basement.
wouldnt hurt to ask.

Just amazed at both these photos and everyone's stories, this right here is why I signed up. emily I adore the girl running through the field of flowering clovers, I can just imagine her being followed through that whole forest with a steadicam, great composition as well. I have to say I am a sucker for a long red haired girl running through a field, one of my many scenes of fantasy and love. To be honest I don't even own a camera, I steal my brothers cheap one for as long as I can before he notices but I really wish I could capture some of the wonderful imagery and content you guys have. @dan Brilliant subjects man, I think you're first photo here is my favourite, its the fog coming off of the top of that forest covered mountain. This probably isn't true but the way they two people in the photo aren't looking up at what i'm looking at and even one of them is on his mobile phone makes me think about going on school trips as a child and seeing something amazing then going back to my music or book or game boy. life simply goes on in-spite of beauty and I like that. kaity Like everyone else I to love the guy in the blue and silver suit, because I seem to find a story in everything or try to relate it to my point of view of the world (the whole point of photography in my opinion... and art for that matter), I really like the photo. I imagine this guy is at a massive carnival and is having a great time with his friends drinking and getting so caught up in the dancing and the music that he wonders off from the main festivities and wonders through the street enjoying the festivities in his own little world while people stare on. quite a nice feeling I imagine, to be caught up so completely in something so joyous as dance that you no longer care. @phill my good friend, Thank you for sharing my themes suggestions on this your clubhouse, I like your band practice photo very much, its got such rich colour and depth but for me the winning one of the bunch would have to be the Long Boarding helmet dude with the rich blue sky behind him. Its a moment in time that's exactly what it is.

I don't know how to make the pictures show up without having to attach them, any help?)
I just have a basic digital camera and I'm still pretty much figuring out how to use objects and light and whatnot so these are my experiments.
